DD Dorvillier | UNTITLED LANDSCAPE, Atelier Dracy 2022
Based on the research work for his next creation Untitled landscapes, DD Dorvillier will offer a time of research and experimentation around a natural archaeological site in Burgundy, the starting point of a questioning on the relationship to choreographic site specific creation. Alternating score work, somatic and sensory work and transitional work between interior and exterior spaces, the workshop will offer an immersion in the singular artistic universe of the choreographer, while allowing points of sharing and construction around the internal site specific creation.
“Watching dance, the other and the world, at the speed of plants and rocks, requires an entirely different sense of time.

American choreographer, born in Puerto Rico, DD Dorvillier developed her work in New York in 1989. Moving to France in 2010, she continues to produce creations internationally and in France. Her artistic practice finds its balance between the exploration of the sensitive body, thought and language, as well as group work. It seeks to encourage the autonomy of the public in the reception and transmission of its works. The relationship with sound, light, the object, like almost linguistic matters are often engines for her creations. With the composer Sébastien Roux she inaugurates La Corvette, a new place of multidisciplinary research and creation in Côte d'Or. Read more
